Save Me #1

Just like me, I am sure you all started out with a positive mind set, ambition and hard working attitude. But after time, things changed and started to crumble. You got tired, mad, agitated. Nothing seemed right in the eyes of your peers.

Many times I made suggestions to improve the work flow, be it visual merchandising or warehouse organization. None of these were ever really taken into consideration. The first words out of their mouths were that it's too time consuming or do not conform with company regulations.

As I worked in the clothing area from the time I was hired, I only new the rules of what they told me. Plain colors to the front, patterns to the back. T-Shirts in the front, long armed shirts behind them. Collared items should also always be the last thing on the rack if there are no pants. The problem was only that too many cooks spoil the broth.

Here we have Ms. Broomy*, who has been working for the company way before WWI (not really but it seems like it, unfortunately) and thinks that regulations have never changed and then on the other hand we have Ms. Etta, who has her own set of rules. Of course this only caused conflict and me being fed up with not knowing the real rules, finally confronted them one day and said that I wanted to see it in writing. Black on white for my eyes to see.

Funny that to this day I never received anything from the both of them.
